The first thing to love about this place is that there is no entry fee! Only have to pay for parking and certain shows, I think. There is a super easy exhibit walk that show cases heaps of amazing birds, wombats, koalas, turtles and more. There is a large aviary you can walk into where birds swoop around above your head. There are other lengthier walks around the reserve that I'd love to check out. There are a few things that could be more updated and a few exhibits were closed when I went there, but for a free experience it is definitely worth the visit

For the first I went there to see wildlife exhibits. I thought according to the web site it will be a big zoo. So we parked our car in the nearest car park where they charge $3 per hour and $8 per day. Assuming this is a huge zoo we took $ 8 ticket but unfortunately we finished the tour less than 30 min. Also I was surprise there wasn't much people to see these animals but most came to have a nice picnic time. Also the web site says about feeding times but they don't really go big on this. If you are late like a minute you are going to missing the whole thing.

Was in Newcastle and just happened to drop by! Not alot of animals but worth the price (which is free!). Was well maintained and the avery was nice! Wouldnt consider this place worth driving a long time for.... nice if you are in the area and if you want a place to hang out for abit... the place is mainly geared for kids i guess! My son loved it... and so did i! Parking is $12 a day or $4 an hour...fyi

Nice place to see some koalas, wallabies and other animals. Good BBQ areas. Mainly for kids birthday parties though.

But I must says it is really really nice place. Specially if you like nice long walk in the wood.

Just immersed myself in the natural environment. There are a lots of small animals on exhibition, including Koalas. And it is free although I have spent $12 for parking there whole day.
